Lector:  Precious Lord, in whose resurrection we ?nd abundant hope, look down upon our troubled world with loving eyes. Teach us to love you with all our hearts and souls and strength and minds and to love one another as ourselves.  For in that love, death shall have no dominion.

People:  Dearest Lord, we pray.

Precious Lord, in whose resurrection we ?nd abundant hope, help your church to be your daily presence in the world — healing, feeding, sheltering, and caring for one another.  Help us to put aside our di?erences to do your work of love.  For in that love, death shall have no dominion.

People:  Dearest Lord, we pray.

Precious Lord, in whose resurrection we ?nd abundant hope, help our great nation to heal its wounds of race and inequality.  Teach us to trade hatred for love, prejudice for empathy, self-interest for generosity.  For in that love, death shall have no dominion.

People:  Dearest Lord, we pray.

Precious Lord, in whose resurrection we ?nd abundant hope, teach us to be like the good Samaritan; help us to discover our neighbor in every person we meet.  Teach us to ?nd the courage to cross the road, to bind one other’s wounds, to show mercy and compassion to all we encounter.   For in that love, death shall have no dominion.

People:  Dearest Lord, we pray.

Precious Lord, in whose resurrection we ?nd abundant hope, help us to perceive the natural world as the great mother she is.   Help us to discover your exquisite presence in every living thing and the whole of creation.  Teach us to honor Mother Nature as the parent she is.  For in that love, death shall have no dominion.

People:  Dearest Lord, we pray.

Precious Lord, a year ago our beloved Wray MacKay led us in celebrating your resurrection on Easter morning.  We remember him as your loving presence in the world  — always patient,  always kind, always grounded in the great commandment.  Be with his widow, Kate, on this most di?cult anniversary, as you are with all families and individuals who su?er from sadness, sickness, loss, and di?culty, especially those on our parish prayer list:  For in your love, death shall have no dominion.

People:  Dearest Lord, we pray.

Presider:  Precious Lord, we celebrate your resurrected presence in your lives.  In your love, death has no dominion. Amen.
