Dear Mother, Father God, We come to you in prayer, to draw your love and guidance through us, that we may open tender hearts to each other, and to those you call us to serve.

We surrender Lord, to your will and guidance, in the name of Jesus Christ.

We come to you in prayer for Emmanuel Church, our rector Berto, and for the churches of the world who speak and act for peace, justice, tolerance of differences, and service to the poor and needy, and especially for the children.

We surrender them Lord, to your power and protection, in the name of Jesus Christ.

We come to you in prayer for those carrying burdens, and those in transitions or illness. Bless each, as you know their need. And especially for those on our parish prayer list:

May they know your healing peace.

We surrender them Lord, to the comfort of your abiding presence, in the name of Jesus Christ.

We come to you in prayer for innocent victims of war, violence, injustice, hunger, homelessness, and for those struggling to survive. And we pray for those who help them, in brave service, as Christ has asked of us.

We surrender them Lord, to your love and protection, in the name of Jesus Christ.

We come to you in prayer for the peacemakers of the world, for our President, and those leaders needing your wisdom. May your Will be with them and guide their decisions.

We surrender them Lord, to your power and purpose.

We come to you in prayer for the natural environment we cherish, for the animals, the earth, air, oceans, and for those who are entrusted with the care and policies for their perfect natural balance.

We surrender them Lord, to your care, and us to your inspiration, that we may act and speak wisely, as stewards of your creation, in the name of Jesus Christ.

We pray for those who have died, that they are joyful in your care with saints and angels surrounding them with your love.

We surrender them Lord, to your heavenly kingdom, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Let us each use the gifts you have blessed us with, carrying the spirit of Jesus into our daily life. Lead us into the joy of service where we sense the need.

We surrender with gratitude to you Lord, as our time and care is in your hands.

Presider:  Gracious Mother Father God, creator of our being, thank you for the quiet place you give us to hear you, as we pray from our hearts and share with each other the love you offer freely. Keep us in your care as we go about your work, as taught by Jesus the Christ. Amen.
