Lector: Loving God, we come to you with our petitions for worries, troubled minds, and broken hearts. We come also o?ering our gifts of trust, hope, and thanks. Come and listen, Lord.

Calm us, Lord, assuring us that you are by our side in di?cult times as well as times of peace and happiness.  Show us the way to deal with what each day brings with generosity and love. Come and listen, Lord.

As the world assaults us with news of wars, violence on the streets of our cities, abuse in homes, and reports of despair, teach us to believe in the absolute power of your goodness.  Strengthen our knowledge that our prayers and service turn the world towards reconciliation and peace. Open our eyes to see the thousand forms of loveliness we walk by everyday. Come and listen, Lord.

Bless and comfort us as we deal with divorce, aging, autism, depression, and loneliness, and all the ills of body and spirit.  Hear our prayers for those on our parish prayer list:

Assure us of your mercy. Come and listen, Lord.

We give our thanks for all who serve you through the church, especially Berto and Hugh, as well as Anne who is with us today, and those who work faithfully in the ministries of the Dinner Kitchen and Altar Guild.  We also give thanks for Tony Ghazel, George Karnikis, Stewart Mehlman and all those who worked hard behind the scenes to keep the o?ce running during its move and to ready the Parish Hall for ?oor re?nishing. Come and listen, Lord.

For our loved ones who have died, comfort us in our grief, knowing that you hold their precious hearts. Come and listen, Lord.

Presider:  God, we remember your assurance that where there abides much evil, there also is over?owing grace. Give us strength, Lord, to be your healing hands in this world.  Amen.
