Dear Mother, Father God,
We come to you with our hearts open in prayer, as a community in worship, and as you know each of us as your child.
Lord, may we draw your love through us to serve those in need.
Thank you Lord, for all those who serve you through this church, for the many hands and hearts who keep Emmanuel thriving in your name. We pray for our rector, Berto, our Bishop Rickel, your churches around the world and for all who care for the needs of others.
Lord, we pray for your will to be done, and for us to serve and love one another, as your son, Jesus Christ loves us.
We pray for our country, for your hand to resolve the political turmoil, and lead us to responsible world leadership for the highest good for all people.
Lord, we pray for your guidance and inspiration to the soul and spirit of this nation, with your hand upon the hearts of our citizens and leaders.
Thank you Lord for your beauty which surrounds us, on this precious Orcas Island, the magnificent Salish Sea, the fertile Skagit Valley, and the elegant Cascade Mountains.
We are blessed with your supplies for our survival: fresh water, clean air, rich earth.
Lord, we pray for increased awareness of how urgently to protect and serve your creation, with honor and with our actions.
We pray for people in sudden need of help, for Haiti, with 1,000 deaths, and hundreds of families whose homes were destroyed by the recent hurricane.
Lord, we pray for all people suffering from loss, disasters, war and disease.
Lord, we ask your blessings for those we hold dear in our hearts. We pray for those who have passed into your eternal kingdom, for those who are in sickness, pain, fear and suffering of any kind, and for those on our Parish prayer list:
Lord, we pray for your comfort, healing and divine peace to all.
Presider: Lord, thank you for those people you have brought into our lives who bring us closer to you. Let us live each day with the message of our Savior Jesus Christ as our purpose. In His name we are grateful for your abundant blessings, grace and peace. Lead us in sharing these with others. We pray with the power of your love. Amen.
