Dear Mother, Father God, Lord of Heaven and Earth,
You are the Alpha and Omega. We pray to you with hearts longing to know your peace, for all the world, as we are all one under you God.

Lord, you are the protector of all who trust in you, and without you nothing is strong, nothing is holy. We surrender our longing into your hands Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ.

We pray for your churches throughout the world, in their many forms, that your power and guidance shall inspire the strength of their kindness and service with compassion. May all priests be leaders in following you Lord.

Bless Emmanuel Church as a vessel of your love Lord, sharing openly with all who enter our church, our music concerts, our Labyrinth, and our Market Day.

Bless Bishop Gregory, Father Berto, Father Hugh, our vestry, our office administrators, our musicians, the dinner kitchen crew, the garden gang, the dedicated volunteers creating Market Day, and all those who serve in many ways, both seen and unseen. Your power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than we can ask or imagine.

Bless this community. Lord may we be a beacon of your compassion and love, as taught by your son, Jesus Christ.

We pray for these United States, founded on equality, with liberty and justice for all. May your power be the guidance for our President, and those who have asked for our trust in making decisions for the welfare of our nation and the world. May they be rooted and grounded in your love, which surpasses knowledge.

We surrender our longing into your hands Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Bless this earth home and your gifts of clean air and water, forests, soil, animals and all of your creation. We are deeply concerned. Teach us to act with the wisdom of protecting your resources which sustain life. Your power at work within us can accomplish more than we can ask or imagine. Your blessings are beyond our understanding.

We surrender our longing into your hands Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ.

We cannot imagine the fear and pain of families torn apart, and the loss of basic daily needs around the world. We pray for those in need of food, shelter, health care, and kindness, for those in danger, fear, or any kind of suffering. Bless those who are with them in your love. Bless those whose needs you know Lord, and those we now name on our prayer list:

We surrender our longing into your hands Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ.

We pray for Bill and Margie Bangs and their family, for the passing of Bill’s mother, Eleanor Bottomley. May she be free in the peace of the Lord. Bless all who have died, that they are in your joyous company of angels and archangels. Bless those who carry love and remembrance in their hearts.

We surrender our longing into your hands Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Presider:
Thank you dear Lord for our bountiful blessings, both in our daily life and in your invitation that we always return to you for our comfort and strength. As Christ dwells in our hearts, may we become rooted and grounded in love. May the Holy Spirit lead us through our days with gratitude and delight in your love, to accomplish abundantly far more than we can ask or imagine. Lord, hear our prayers .AMEN
