Lector:  Dear God, we pray with gratitude for your constant love. Thank you for your son Jesus Christ, teaching us how to be in this world in love and service.

How priceless is your love, O God. In your light we see light.  May the Holy Spirit be in us like a dove of peace.

We thank you for our church Emmanuel, our mission to love God and God’s creation, and our neighbors as ourselves. Bless our open church community, our priests Berto and Hugh, our Bishop Gregory, and our Presiding Bishop Michael.

Bless those who serve in the name of the Lord, may they be blessed and inspired by your Holy Spirit.

We pray for peace in the world, in this troubled time, which seems difficult for us to comprehend. Bless those who are captives, in frightening circumstances, whose families live in danger, hunger, and pain.

Let each heart know your peace, for your love is the answer and the way. Bring safety and caring, food and water to those in need.

Bless and protect those who put themselves in harms way to serve and save others. Be there with them, Lord.

We pray for the United States, our President and elected officials, that in this time of turmoil and division, they may be filled with the Holy Spirit, to make right decisions for the good of all people, and your earthly creation. Bring them into the community of caring and sharing, as the winning solution for all.

Let each heart know your peace, for your love is the answer and the way. You are the power for all goodness, Lord.

For the earth and its abundant bounty, we pray for urgent changes in our policies and use of our resources. We ask for your wisdom and guidance in our understanding and active protection of your natural order, which sustains us all.

With gratitude we pray, Lord. In your light we see light. Bring your Holy Spirit to us in saving the earth, air and oceans.

For the needs of each of us, as you know us Lord, we pray silently or aloud (…pause…) and especially for those who struggle with addiction, pain, hunger, loneliness, homelessness, and those we name here:

How priceless is your love, O God. We are each your child. In your light we see light. With gratitude we pray.

For the mystery of our after life, hold each of us in your eternal love, along with those who have passed before us. For those who have passed on, let us remember them with your peace in our heart.

How priceless is your love, O God.  In your light we see light. With gratitude we pray.

Presider: Dear Lord, how priceless is your love. In your light we see light. We sing with joy of your abundant daily miracles in our lives. We ask each heart to behold your blessings and pass them on to others. May we each use the gifts of the Spirit which are given to us for the common good. Our Savior is Jesus Christ, the light of the world. Amen.
