Lector: Lord, we rejoice this Easter day with all members of your Church giving thanks for the resurrection of your Son, may our Presiding Bishop Michael, our Bishop Greg, our priests Berto and Hugh make the words of your Gospel come alive in our hearts so we may be your servants spreading the good news.

The Lord is my strength and my song,

Lord, we pray for these United States and our leaders, may they make wise and just decisions on our behalf to keep us all safe and secure.

The Lord is my strength and my song,

Lord, you show no partiality, may anyone in every nation who fears you do what is right to be acceptable in your sight so peace and justice may reign on earth.

The Lord is my strength and my song,

Lord, we pray for Orcas Island and the surrounding Salish Sea, may we be good stewards to harvest its bounty while preserving it for future generations.

The Lord is my strength and my song,

Lord, we pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, unemployment or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list…; may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.

The Lord is my strength and my song,

Lord, we pray for those near death, those who have died and their families and friends, especially Leni, who mourn, may their faith in the joy of Easter give them confidence that Jim and all your saints will be welcomed by angels.

The Lord is my strength and my song,

Presider: Lord, on this day, you acted and raised your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ from the dead, as you hear the prayers of your people as we rejoice; help us to believe what Mary Magdalene and Peter witnessed so we are inspired to share the good news through our actions through Jesus Christ your Son our Savior, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.  Amen.
