Eternal God, we give thanks for your church and our leaders Michael, Greg, Berto and Hugh. We ask that they help us to remember the sabbath day and not be confident in temporal things, so we may be a people that produces the fruits of your kingdom.

Eternal God, we give thanks for these United States. We ask that our leaders Donald, Nancy, Mitch, John and Jay remember not to bear false witness against each other and work for the benefit of all.

Eternal God, we give thanks for this beautiful and precious earth and all persons and creatures. We pray that we all work together to stay well as the weather turns in the Northern Hemisphere and more of us stay inside where there is more risk of infection.

Eternal God, we give thanks for first responders, health care workers, researchers, and pharmaceutical workers as they strive to treat and prevent illness. We pray for patience and perseverance as we remain cautious.

Most High, omnipotent, good Lord, to thee be ceaseless praise outpoured. We remember St. Francis this day. We pray that we not only bless our pets and all your creatures but also remember that he served you in great humility.

Eternal God, we pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, unemployment, mental illness, or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list…; as well as for those for whom no one prays, may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.
