Dearest Lord, we ask for your comforting presence as we struggle with this yearlong pandemic. Help us cultivate patience and caring hearts and to remember to wear our masks.

Out of the depths, we call.

Dearest Lord, be with our ministers and lay workers in this time of great need; support them as they seek to heal the hearts of the suffering.

Out of the depths, we call.

Dearest Lord, we pray for our nation, that we might come together to support each other.  Be especially with essential workers who have risked their safety to provide our basic needs.

Out of the depths, we call.

Dearest Lord, we pray for families struggling to meet basic needs, for exhausted health-care workers, and for children who miss their teachers and friends at school.  Comfort them in this hour of need.

Out of the depths, we call.

Dearest Lord, help us to restore the health of the earth through better management of its resources, that the generations to follow might rejoice in your creation as we do.

Out of the depths, we call.

Dearest Lord, be with those who are sick, who have lost loved ones, lost jobs, who are lonely, frightened, depressed, or angry.  Bless the healing hearts and hands of those who comfort and support them.  Be especially with those friends and family we now name (pause), including those on our parish prayer list:
