Blessed are you, O Lord; we pray for your Universal Church and especially our leaders: Michael, Greg, Berto and Hugh. May they comfort us when our soul is troubled so we may serve you.

Blessed are you, O Lord; we pray for these United States, especially for our leaders Joe, Chuck, Mitch, Nancy, and Jay. May they make wise decisions on behalf of all inhabitants.

Blessed are you, O Lord; we acknowledge that we are located on the unceded ancestral lands of the Samish & Coast Salish people, a people that are still here. May we  honor and bring to light their ancient heritage and wisdom. We give thanks for the radiance of the island, their  stewardship, and pray we may be faithful stewards preserving the land and sea for future generations.

Blessed are you, O Lord; we pray for the welfare of the world, for all who are in harms way from late winter storms, fires, floods, wars, and this pandemic. We give thanks for first responders, peacekeepers and medical personnel who respond to these challenges despite risks to themselves.

Blessed are you, O Lord; we give thanks for the service of Drs. Alperin, Fleming, Russell, Shinstrom to this community over the years and ask that our new island clinic meet the needs of all our residents.

Blessed are you, O Lord;  we pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, unemployment mental illness or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list…. May they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.

Blessed are you, O Lord; we give thanks for your servant Thomas Cranmer, who was responsible for the first Book of Common Prayer in 1549 and executed on this date in 1556. We pray that the departed be welcomed by angels and those that mourn may be comforted by memories.
