Dear Lord of Love and Grace, we pray together for our world, for our nation, and for our environment.
We come to you in the midst of our anxiety, with the earth in upheaval, fires, floods, earthquakes and extreme temperatures. We pray for those who have lost their homes and communities.

Dear Lord, we seek your strength and comfort over the chaos of our anxiety. Lord Hear our prayer.

We pray for the brave fire fighters in the face of fierce wild fires, for those rescuing flood and hurricane victims, for first responders, and for citizens rising to rescue others. We pray for the health care workers in their overloaded hospitals and Covid care units. Bring them rest. Dear Lord of Love and Grace, we see your spirit and compassion in so many faces.

Grant us, Lord, not to be anxious about earthly things, but to hold fast to those things that shall endure. Lord, Hear our prayer.

We pray for all people suffering from hunger, homelessness, and turmoil. We pray for all people living in daily fear of racist brutality,  inequality of services, and racial injustice. We long to be understanding instruments of your love. Let us not be timid to speak and act accordingly.

Lord, We are grateful that all beings are created equal in your sight. Teach us to live this way. The last will be first, and the first will be last. Lord, Hear our prayer.

We are grateful for the many people who serve you through our Emmanuel Parish, Karen and Lisa, all of the volunteers, the Vestry, Bill and Margie, and the outreach of the Agape team.

Lord, Bless and guide this loving church community and the people who serve you here.

We are grateful for the strong spiritual leadership of Fr. Berto with Fr. Hugh, continuing their full significant services, including virtual ministry, and online gatherings. Bless them and keep them in your love, guidance and care.

Lord, thank you for the rich blessing of Fr. Berto and Fr. Hugh, as they teach us, connect us, and lead us in study, prayer and service in the name of Jesus Christ, our savior.

We are grateful for the strength and purpose of our world church leadership addressing the Covid pandemic, racial protests, the dangerous effects of climate change, and our need for action. We pray for those who serve in name of the Lord.

Lord, we are in your hands. Bless and guide us as we follow the teaching of your son, Jesus Christ.

We pray for this island community, for the children and their creative teachers in this new school year, for those in transition, those carrying burdens, and for those in dangerous situations.

Bless each one as you know their need. Lord, hear our prayer.

We pray for the earth and the environment we see reacting to our growing human assault. Lead us with wisdom and strength to come together, to listen, and do the work of change for the world.  Inspire those who are leading and making policies of change.

Lord, you have created us as one world, and we must work together as one world, to heal our environment. Hear our prayer.

We pray for those suffering illness, pain, loneliness, fear, and those we carry in our hearts, and those on our parish prayer list. (Please pray slowly): … and those for whom no one prays; may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit. May their caregivers and health care providers be strengthened by your Spirit.

Bless each, as you know their need. Lord, Hear our prayer

We pray for those who have died, that they are at peace in your care with the saints and angels we know surround them with your love.

Lord, Our time is in your hands. We are blessed to know your peace and compassion.

Let us each use the gifts you have blessed us with, to carry the spirit of Jesus into our daily life. With Christ as our guide, let us do the work you lead us to, giving of ourselves with the joy and peace of your love.

Gracious God, creator of our being, thank you for the quiet place you give us to hear you, to pray from, and to know you are in us. Keep us in your care as we go about your work, as taught by Jesus the Christ.
