Eternal God, we give thanks for your church, our leaders Michael, Greg, Berto and Hugh, and all fellow worshipers throughout the globe. We pray that we may be faithful servants to carry out your mission.

The Lord is our righteousness. To you, O Lord, we lift up our souls and put our trust in you.

Eternal God, we give thanks for these United States and pray that all in authority guide the nation peacefully so all citizens may live securely.

The Lord is our righteousness. To you, O Lord, we lift up our souls and put our trust in you.
Eternal God, we give thanks for the beauty of your earthly creation and pray for our planet earth and all people and creatures.

The Lord is our righteousness. To you, O Lord, we lift up our souls and put our trust in you.

Eternal God, remember not our sins and transgressions but remember us according to your love and for the sake of your goodness.

The Lord is our righteousness. To you, O Lord, we lift up our souls and put our trust in you.

Eternal God, on this first Sunday of Advent as the days on Orcas Island grow short and the nights long, we pray for those in our community with inadequate shelter, food and support. We ask that we find the strength and the resources to address those needs.

The Lord is our righteousness. To you, O Lord, we lift up our souls and put our trust in you.
Eternal God, we pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, unemployment mental illness or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list… and for those for whom no one prays; may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.

The Lord is our righteousness. To you, O Lord, we lift up our souls and put our trust in you.

Eternal God, we give thanks for the lives of our departed relatives and friends. May our memories of them and their good works inspire us to be faithful servants. We pray for those near death, those who have died, those that stand vigil and those that mourn, asking that through their fear and grief that they be aware of your Holy Spirit’s comfort and strength.

The Lord is our righteousness. To you, O Lord, we lift up our souls and put our trust in you.
