We give thanks for our church leaders, Presiding Bishop Michael, Bishop Greg, our priests Berto and Hugh. Just as the heavens declare the glory of God, may they proclaim God’s glory so we can be faithful servants of your mission.

Fill us with your Spirit as your joy is our strength.

We give thanks for these United States and pray for our national, state and community leaders. May they make wise decisions to keep us safe and free.

Fill us with your Spirit as your joy is our strength.

We give thanks for the creation of the earth and all inhabitants. May those around the globe that face danger from nature, man, disease, or animal be comforted and find peace. Fill us with your Spirit as your joy is our strength.

We give thanks for the beauty of Orcas Island and the surrounding Salish Sea. May we be good stewards of its resources and work together as a community to keep each other safe.Fill us with your Spirit as your joy is our strength.

Eternal God, we pray for all who suffer in body, mind, or spirit, from addiction, unemployment mental illness, or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list… and those for whom no one prays; may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.

Fill us with your Spirit as your joy is our strength.

We pray for those near death, those who have died as well as those that grieve.  May we be inspired by the memory of Philip Brooks, author of O little town of Bethlehem, Rector of Trinity Church in Boston and Bishop of Massachusetts, who asked that we always remember the mysterious richness of human nature and the nearness of God to each one of us.

Fill us with your Spirit as your joy is our strength.
