Precious Lord, you promise that the leaves of the tree
of life are for the healing of nations. We pray that the people of
the world might see you in all things and in every person, that we
might live together in peace and abundance.
Lord, we love you in all things.
Precious Lord, we pray that the Holy Spirit remind us of all that
you have taught us, including the commandment that we love each
other as you have loved us. We pray for our priests — Berto on
sabbatical and Hugh as our leader while Berto is away — that
their hearts may be enriched by your wisdom and love.
Lord, we love you in all things.
Precious Lord, bless our nation, grant us your saving health that
all persons might enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Help us heal the divides that cause violence of heart and violence
of action.
Lord, we love you in all things.
Precious Lord, open our hearts to listen eagerly to the needs of
the dispossessed: the hungry, the homeless, the addicted, and the
despairing. Help us to see you and serve you in every person.
Lord, we love you in all things.
Precious Lord, we celebrate you in the water of life, bright as
crystal. Help us to care for your creation — the seas, the skies, the
earth, and all creatures great and small — as the miracle it is.
Lord, we love you in all things.
Precious Lord, you beseech us not to let our hearts be troubled,
not to let them be afraid. Be with those whose hearts are churning
and fearful. Be with the grieving; be with the sick and injured —

that their hearts might find calming peace. Be with our friends
and families and those we now name, silently and aloud (pause),
including those on our parish prayer list…

and those for whom no one prays; may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.
Lord, we love you in all things.
