The Orcas Council of Churches is hosting a season of Lent services at places of worship across the island.  Here’s the schedule of services: The following series of five Wednesday Lent events includes a hosted supper of soup and bread and a service on this year’s theme of “Hope and Peace.” Each event begins at 5:30 p.m. All are welcome.

March 12^th – Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (Emmanuel Parish Hall, 218 Main St.)

March 19^th – St. Francis Catholic Church (956 N. Beach Rd.)

March 26^th – Emmanuel Episcopal and Lutheran Churches (218 Main St.)

April 2^nd – Orcas Island Community Church (176 Madrona St.)

April 9^th – Emmanuel Episcopal Church (218 Main St.)
