Dear Father Mother God of all being and knowing,

We come to you as a community in need of your comforting spirit.

Keep us mindful of your love for us

in days of sunshine and in the time of pain.

Lord, we fill our hearts with the power of your love.

We pray with gratitude for this community,

For those who serve this church,

For those who cook and reach out in service to others,

For the hands that fix things, keep the gardens, the altar, the kitchen and the office.

Bless those on our Vestry, the search committee, the staff,

and those leading us in this time of transition.

Lord, we trust in your goodness and guidance as we serve in your Name.

We pray for our Bishop, our visiting priests, your churches around the world, and for all people who notice and tend to the needs of others.

Lord, bless them in their service to your precious creation, people, animals and earth.

We pray for those on our parish prayer list, those needs known to you, and for those suffering in the world with fear, hunger and struggle, especially in the Ukraine and Sudan.

Lord, we pray for your will to be done in our world. We hold a vision of your peace.

Today we celebrate and honor our Mothers, and those who nurture and bring comfort to others in the spirit of your Mothering love.

Lord, bless and comfort those mothering souls you have given us with your loving spirit. May they delight in the flowers that blossom from their giving hearts.

Bless all who have died, especially Wray MacKay, and Ted Grossman, that they are shining in your heavenly kingdom with the angels and archangels.

Bring comfort and solace to those who carry them with longing hearts.

Lord, we are grateful for your constant guidance as we travel on our earthly journey.

Celebrant: Lord, thank you for those people you have brought into our lives who bring us closer to you, who have shown us by their example, the message of our Savior Jesus Christ, in whose name we ask for your blessings, grace and peace. Amen.
