Lector:
Eternal God, we pray for your church, our Presiding Bishop Michael, our Bishop Greg, our priests Berto and Hugh, may they inspire us to be your servants in this temporal world.
May righteousness look down from heaven and truth spring up from the earth.
Eternal God, we pray for these United States, our President Donald, our Governor Jay, our Congress, our Legislature and our County Council, may they make wise decisions on our behalf so mercy and truth meet together.
May righteousness look down from heaven and truth spring up from the earth.
Eternal God, we pray for all nations on this fragile earth, may righteousness and peace kiss each other so all may live in peace.
May righteousness look down from heaven and truth spring up from the earth.
Eternal God, we pray for the health of the Salish Sea and our beloved Orcas Island, may we be good stewards of the beauty you have created for future generations.
May righteousness look down from heaven and truth spring up from the earth.
Eternal God, we pray for the safe return of Berto from his continuing education time in New York and for St. Agnes Guild as they prepare for Market Day.
May righteousness look down from heaven and truth spring up from the earth.
Eternal God, we pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, especially those we now name either silently or aloud (silent pause) and those on our parish prayer list: …, may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.
May righteousness look down from heaven and truth spring up from the earth.
Eternal God, we pray for all who have died and for those that mourn, may Angels greet the dead and comfort their families.
May righteousness look down from heaven and truth spring up from the earth.
Presider: Eternal God, hear the prayers of your faithful servants of Emmanuel, help us to know your will and accept the challenges you give us so that we may help truth spring up from earth. Amen.
