Eternal God, we pray for your church, especially Justin, Michael, Greg, Berto and Hugh. Let them sow your message and may we have ears to hear it.

Lord, may we hear and understand your response in order to be your faithful servant.

Eternal God, we pray for these United States, especially for our leaders Donald, John, Mitch, Nancy, Jay and their colleagues. Let them remember that we are united, not divided, and may your Spirit guide our hearts so that barriers crumble and hatreds cease.Lord, may we hear and understand your response in order to be your faithful servant.

Eternal God, we pray for this fragile earth, our island home. Let us not be so distracted by this virus and political unrest that we forget to be good stewards of this precious planet.Lord, may we hear and understand your response in order to be your faithful servant.

Eternal God, we pray for our beloved Orcas Island and Salish Sea. Let us not only enjoy the beauty of this summer, but also find ways to protect and preserve it for future generations.Lord, may we hear and understand your response in order to be your faithful servant.

Eternal God, we pray forall who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, homelessness, mental illness or unemployment, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list… as well as for those for whom no one prays. May they be comforted by your Holy Spirit. Rather than asking may this go away; we ask, may that which is most spiritually useful transpire.

Lord, may we hear and understand your response in order to be your faithful servant.

Eternal God, we pray for those near death, those who have died and those that mourn. May we face our earthly temporal finitude more squarely and remember that dying well requires living well.
Lord, may we hear and understand your response in order to be your faithful servant.

Presider: Eternal God, mercifully receive the prayers of your people who call upon you, helping us to hear and understand your response so we may be your faithful servants. Amen.
