Eternal God, even though our buildings are close, our hearts are open. Even though we are physically apart, we sing your praises in the congregation of the faithful. We give thanks for all the blessings of this life that we have on Orcas Island, surrounded by beauty.

In the power of the Holy Spirit, make us your advocate.

Eternal God, we give thanks for the guidance, leadership and prayers of our church leaders, Michael, Greg, Berto and Hugh. You taught that where two or three are gathered in your name, You are there among them. Help us to realize your presence even though we are physically apart.

Eternal God, we give thanks for these United States and pray for our leaders, Donald, Mitch, Nancy, John and Jay to be good stewards of our democracy while protecting all your people regardless of race.

In the power of the Holy Spirit, make us your advocate.

Eternal God, we give thanks for the Earth and all nations and people living on our fragile island home. Help us not to be so distracted by the virus, that the world continues work to address other threats such as climate change, natural disasters, and war.

In the power of the Holy Spirit, make us your advocate.

Eternal God, we give thanks for the opening of April’s Grove providing rental housing that is so needed in our community.

In the power of the Holy Spirit, make us your advocate.

Eternal God, we pray for all who suffer in body, mental illness or spirit, from addiction, unemployment or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list…; may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.

In the power of the Holy Spirit, make us your advocate.

Eternal God, we pray for those near death, all who have died and those that mourn, so they may trust in you with all their hearts.

In the power of the Holy Spirit, make us your advocate.
