Dearest Lord, we love you.  Let your church be the bearer of a new song, in which all peoples are lifted from from fear and suffering, from evil and greed, into the radiance of love.

Dearest Lord, we love you.  Help our great nation, the United States, live out your song of love.  Help us to stand for peace, justice, love for our neighbors, including the foreigners among us.

Dearest Lord, we love you.  Give us strength and commitment to care for the poor, the sick, the disabled, the shamed and the fearful among us.  Lift us from lethargy so that we might be the face of your love in the world.

Dearest Lord, we love you.  We love the natural world you have given us — the air, the earth, the sea, and all those that walk, crawl, swim, fly, and grow upon it.  Help us to be good stewards of the earth, that the trees of the wood might shout for joy.
