Lector: Eternal God, we pray for your church and especially our presiding bishop Michael, our bishop Greg and our priests Berto and Hugh, may they show us the grace and truth that came through Jesus Christ so we may be faithful servants to fulfil your mission.
We believe in your name, give us power to become
children of God.
Eternal God, we pray for these United States and especially for our President Donald, for our Congressional leaders Nancy and Mitch, our governor Jay and all who strive to lead us, may they remember your law that was given through Moses.
We believe in your name, give us power to become children of God.
Eternal God, we pray for peace throughout the world, comfort and safety for those in harms way, food for the hungry and love for the lonely.
We believe in your name, give us power to become children of God.
Eternal God, we pray for our beloved Orcas Island and the Salish Sea, may we enjoy the beauty and harvest the bounty while maintaining this precious resource for future generations.
We believe in your name, give us power to become children of God.
Eternal God, we pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, unemployment, homelessness, or loneliness during this joyful season, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list…; may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.
We believe in your name, give us power to become children of God.
Eternal God, we remember all who have died including the slaughter of the holy innocents of Bethlehem, we pray, into the arms of your mercy all innocent victims; and by your great might frustrate the designs of evil tyrants and establish your rule of justice, love, and peace.
We believe in your name, give us power to become
children of God.
Presider: Eternal God, we know you hear the prayers of we your servants, help us to accept your will and become children of God through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
