Lord, we give thanks for your church and especially our leaders Michael, Greg, Berto and Hugh. May they inspire us to encourage our friends and neighbors to taste and see that the Lord is good.

Happy are we who trust you, Lord.

Lord, we give thanks for these United States and our leaders. May they put aside their differences and govern together to protect all.

Happy are we who trust you, Lord.

Lord, we give thanks for this fragile earth and all who reside here and across the globe. May those in harm’s way from disease, fire, flood, heat and war, find safety and comfort through you.

Happy are we who trust you, Lord.

Lord, we give thanks for the community of Orcas Island. As we rejoice in the bounty of the season, may we be good stewards protecting this land for future generations as the Lummi and Samish did before us.

Happy are we who trust you, Lord.

Lord, we give thanks for our health as we cannot exist without you. We pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, unemployment, mental illness or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list… and those for whom no one prays. May they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.

Happy are we who trust you, Lord.

Lord, we give thanks for this life. Comfort those near death, welcome those who have died into your heavenly kingdom and comfort those who mourn.

Happy are we who trust you, Lord.
