Dearest Lord, we pray with all our hearts for healing for this world, torn apart by war, natural disasters, and distrust. Be especially with those who suffer cold, hunger, fear, injury and death, especially the people of Ukraine, Turkey, and Syria.
The faithful will make their prayers to you in times of trouble.
Dearest Lord, we know that the abundance of grace you promise us is found in the abundant love of Jesus. Thank you for the loving example of our priests, Berto and Hugh, and former President Jimmy Carter, whose long life’s work was love.
The faithful will make their prayers to you in times of trouble.
Dearest Lord, we pray that the leaders of our nation will not be tempted by greed, power, and lies. To such division, we call out, like Jesus, “Away with you, Satan!” Bring us together to do the good work of the world.
The faithful will make their prayers to you in times of trouble.
Dearest Lord, your good work is to feed the hungry, offer water to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, clothe the naked, heal the sick, and visit the prisoner. Help us walk with loving kindness in the world.
The faithful will make their prayers to you in times of trouble.
Dearest Lord, the abundant life and beauty of the earth is profound testament to your creative love. Help us care for the earth as the miracle it is.
The faithful will make their prayers to you in times of trouble.
Dearest Lord, we ask your loving kindness for our brothers and sisters who suffer sickness, injury, despair, depression, shame, anger, and anxiety. We ask you to be with the recently departed and the family and friends who miss them so much. We ask you to be especially with those family and friends we now name (pause), including those on our prayer list:
The faithful will make their prayers to you in times of trouble.
