Holy Great “I AM”, We are your people; you are our God—we are thankful for and ask continued blessings on all those who serve you so diligently and faithfully: our priests, Berto and Hugh, our acting bishop Melissa, our presiding bishop Michael, and spiritual leaders everywhere.
We are your people and we offer our love, for in loving others we best love you
Holy Great “I AM” Bestow blessings on those who lead nations and states and communities. We ask special prayers for the newly crowned King Charles III as he seeks to encourage and practice inclusive and earth-friendly leadership. May all hear and heed the wisdom that will become the cornerstone for policies to benefit the earth—from the smallest micro-organism to the tallest tree and largest mammal.
We are your people and we offer our love, for in loving others we best love you
Holy Great “I AM” We pray for those whose lives are devoted to the care of other people and of the natural world: teachers, medical employees, librarians, ecologists, gardeners and farmers, volunteers of many stripes—with special thanks to those who helped fulfill the parish hall kitchen remodel, and those engaged in the rebirth of Dinner Kitchen. May we work together to discover and practice better ways to care for our local community, the island, and its resources.
We are your people and we offer our love, for in loving others we best love you
Holy Great “I AM”, let your radiance flood the frightened hearts of those who are overwhelmed by warfare, the homeless victims of struggles in Sudan, Syria, Yemen, Ukraine, and other troubled places. May your holy presence comfort those struggling to find shelter, food, and medical care. Soothe those anguished ones who weep for their families as the result of natural disasters.
All are your people and we offer our love, for in loving others we best love you.
Holy Great I AM: Strengthen those suffering from addictions, chronic illness, broken families, and other emotional challenges; hearten those in recovery and empower those who shepherd confused souls to more balanced mental states. We ask blessings and encouragement for all marginalized people: for the non-binary population, for the disabled, the unemployed, and for those suffering from racial or cultural bias. May all those who feel alienated find refuge in you and rejoice in your unbounded love.
We are your people and we offer our love, for in loving others we best love you.
We pray now for special intentions known only to us (take time to mention silently or aloud) and for those on our Parish Prayer List:
May those who are recently departed and those left behind meet again in your eternal radiance.
[At this time we may add the names of any of the recently departed or bereaved.] Thank you for hearing these prayers.
Lord Jesus Christ, you have called us out of darkness and into your marvelous light.
