O Holy One in our midst, we give thanks to you for you are good and your mercy endures forever. We also give thanks for all ministers asking that they inspire us to set our minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
Let us give thanks to the Lord for his mercy
O Holy One in our midst, we give thanks for the United States of America and our elected and appointed officials. We ask that they listen to your call so that they may do your will.
Let us give thanks to the Lord for his mercy
O Holy One in our midst, we give thanks for this fragile earth and every creature of your creation. We pray for those who suffer from famine, torture, imprisonment, injury, terrorism and poverty. We ask that world leaders find the path to peace rather than war.
Let us give thanks to the Lord for his mercy
O Holy One in our midst, we give thanks for Orcas Island and visiting musicians who bring chamber music to so many in these early August weeks. We ask that we remember not to store up treasures for ourselves but be rich toward God.
Let us give thanks to the Lord for his mercy
O Holy One in our midst, we pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, unemployment, mental illness, violence or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list… and those for whom no one prays; may they be delivered them from their distress.
Let us give thanks to the Lord for his mercy
O Holy One in our midst, we give thanks for the lives of those who have died both known and unknown to us. May their memories bring comfort to those that mourn and help us to reflect on setting our minds on heavenly things rather than temporal earthly treasures.
Let us give thanks to the Lord for his mercy
