Light of the world, as light increases day by day, kindle the warmth of Love in our hearts so that we may more and more open ourselves to others and to your energizing Spirit.
We will let Light and Love flow through us.
Light of the world, in these times of concern and fear in our country and the world, may we continue to gain strength and persevere in our loving actions to make a difference. May we be courageous and persistent in our work for a better world.
We will let Light and Love flow through us.
Light of the world, we are fortunate to live in a safe environment. May we not take it for granted and find ways to help others in the world who are exposed to danger daily.
We will let Light and Love flow through us.
Light of the world, we marvel at the beauty of the earth and our universe, how every physical thing we need is here. May we as individuals and as nations be good stewards and care for the earth, our home.
We will let Light and Love flow through us.
Light of the world, we give thanks for all communities of faith who strive to bring love and justice to our planet. We especially are grateful for our community here at Emmanuel, our priests Berto and Hugh, our Vestry, and every person who calls this church home.
We will let Light and Love flow through us.
Light of the world, the world is full of individuals who are suffering due to illness, poverty, addiction, emotional trauma, and lack of employment and housing. May those known only to us in our hearts (pause to name silently or aloud)… and also those on our parish prayer list… … and for those for whom no one prays, those for whom no one prays.
And we pray for those unknown to us but who are in need of a touch of Light.
We will let Light and Love flow through us.
Light of the world, we think of those who have died and those who grieve. We hold them in our hearts, knowing that the holiday season can be especially difficult after losing a loved one. May we find ways to honor them so that they are not forgotten.
We will let Light and Love flow through us.
