Oh Great Mystery, you are seen and unseen, everywhere and beyond. Let us pause throughout the week to recognize your holy presence. Help us to remember to center between activities, to keep a space of sacred attentiveness open. As peacemakers, help us to work more intentionally to restore balance in our troubled world.

Let us fulfill your teaching by recognizing the web of light that connects us all.  Help us to remember that we are one humanity, seeking to be united in love and respect for one another.

Our prayers  and gratitude especially extend to the Dean of our Cathedral, the Very Reverend Steven L. Thomason, who is visiting us today, and our priests, Fathers Berto and Hugh, whose ongoing guidance and example bring hope on the darkest days. And we pray for the new 106th Archbishop of Canterbury, Sarah Mullally, our Presiding Bishop, Sean, and our Bishop, Phil, and for spiritual leaders everywhere. May their good works and leadership inspire positive change throughout the world.
