We Pray for the World and the Church

Oh Risen Christ –  How we rejoice in the miracle of your holy being.  In the joyful story that is told year after year.  We thank you for this wondrous legacy of hope and wonder.

May we share hope and wonder and love with all beings.

Oh Risen Christ – we celebrate with such deep gratitude the leadership of our church, a leadership that guides us to better serve the legacy of your teaching.  Thank you for Fathers Berto and Hugh, for Bishop Phillip, for presiding bishop, Sean, and for the brave new Archbishop Sarah of Canterbury.  Please keep them safe from harm.  May their steadfast support of truth and justice shine into every corner of the world, carrying with it what it means to be your true follower.

May we share hope and truth and love with all beings.

Oh Risen Christ – Help us to roll away the stones that block our ability to bring balance into our own lives and to the world.  Help us to see you everywhere. Let the paths of wisdom and kindness lead us to a state of grace that cultivates harmony and compassion with one another and all creatures.

May we share hope and balance and love with all beings.

Oh Risen Christ – we are surrounded by beauty–the beauty of nature and of our congregation, our children, and so much more.  Let us share beauty in every possible way. Let us celebrate all those who bring beauty consciously into our lives: through nature, through the arts, through science, through literature, through farms and gardens, and through lovingly prepared food.  We are especially grateful to our sister, Vicki, for all she does to make our gardens and church so beautiful, and to Marianne for filling us with music that pulses in our hearts all week.

May we share hope and beauty and love with all beings.

Oh Risen Christ – Let wisdom and grace roll away the stones that block our hearts from your fullest expression.  In these coming days let us be truly open to experience more fully what it means to follow you in all that we do.

May we share hope and wonder and love with all beings.
