Oh Divine Love, may we find your grace among the swift and varied changes of the world.

May we fix our hearts where Love’s true joys are to be found.

Oh Divine Love, in this world that seems to be a valley of dry bones, we pray that the breath of Love will bring life to us all and that your spirit will fill and heal us.

May we fix our hearts where Love’s true joys are to be found.

Oh Divine Love, we pray for the Church everywhere, for our leaders, that they might speak truth in love, for the new Archbishop of Canterbury Sarah Mullally, who will be installed on March 25.  We are so thankful for our own priests, Berto and Hugh, who share their lives with us and love us.  We remember Archbishop Oscar Romero, who spoke Love’s truth to power and paid with his life.

May we fix our hearts where Love’s true joys are to be found.

Oh Divine Love, our nation needs your direction and healing.  We pray that our leaders will let Love lead them instead of hate.

May we fix our hearts where Love’s true joys are to be found.

Oh Divine Love, this natural world is amazing and magnificent.  May we take care of it as it deserves.

May we fix our hearts where Love’s true joys are to be found.

Oh Divine Love, the injustices of the world are many, and we want to right the wrongs that are being done.  May we be part of the solution rather than bystanders.  Many people known to us and unknown to us suffer from poverty, homelessness, loneliness, illness, depression, and addictions.  Love and compassion are meant for them.  We mention their names silently or aloud…and we also lift up the names of those on our parish prayer list:…Bill & Jane…Heather…Jan… Cheryl…Ian…James…Dick…Renee… John…Nick…Sara…David… The Rev. Pam…Dart and Laura…Skipper…Cynthia & Bruce…Wes & Carol…Bruce…Helen…Diane…Chris…Lynn…Margaret…Sam…Nick…Maria…Ali…Debbie…Carol…Julia…Catherine…

May we fix our hearts where Love’s true joys are to be found.

We also think with love of those who are dying or have died, as well as their caregivers. May Love surround them and bring them peace.  May those in grief feel the comfort of Divine Love each day.

May Love grow in our hearts and manifest itself in our actions towards others.

Let us pray for those celebrating birthdays this week.

O God, our times are in your hand:  Look with favor, we pray, on your servants Ursula Pamatian (3/22) and Lisa Heisinger (3/28) as they begin another year. Grant that they may grow in wisdom and grace, and strengthen their trust in your goodness all the days of their life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Let us pray for those celebrating anniversaries this week.

Grant, O God, in your compassion, that (insert names) may grow in forgiveness, loyalty, and love; and come at last to the eternal joys which you have promised through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
