We Pray for the World and the Church

Source of All There Is: As we journey through this life, may we be mindful of our goal of following the Christ of compassion and allowing the kingdom of heaven to live inside us.

May the energy of Love move through us.

Source of All There Is: We are grateful for our world, its beauty, its resources, its animal and plant life, and the lives of all humans who call it home. May we care for it and all living beings who inhabit it.

May the energy of Love move through us.

Source of All There Is: We are grateful for our nation, as others are grateful for theirs. May we treat each person who lives here with respect and compassion and love as Christ has loved us.

May the energy of Love move through us.

Source of All There Is: We are especially grateful for our Emmanuel Community, for our priests Berto and Hugh, for our Vestry, and for all who give of themselves each week to make this a welcoming place to all. We are grateful for all spiritual communities on Orcas and elsewhere that seek to love all people.

Source of All There Is: We never forget that there is great suffering in the world and that if we truly have compassion, we will seek for ways to help those who experience injustice, physical and mental trauma, loneliness, poverty, homelessness, and hunger.

May the energy of love move through us.

Source of All There Is: We remember those who have died, especially Bob Littlewood, and those who are near death. May they experience Love as never before. And may those close to them experience that same Love and know their loved ones are returning to the Source.

May the energy of Love move through them and through us.

Source of All There Is: We pray for those whom we hold in our hearts and are known only to us. We say their names now either silently or aloud…and we pray for those on our parish prayer list…Bill & Jane… Heather… Jan… Cheryl… Ian… James… Dick… Renee… John… Nick… Sara… David… Pam… Laura and Dart… Skipper… Cynthia & Bruce… Wes & Carol… Helen… Diane… Chris… Lynn… Margaret… Maria… Ali… Debbie… Carol… Julia… Jeff… John… Ida Rae…Lalo…Morgan…Lynn… 

And for those for whom no one prays, may they be comforted by the Source of All There Is.
