God, your children pray to you.

We pray for all who worship you, your Universal Church in all its forms, especially for Justin, Archbishop of Canterbury; Katherine, our Presiding Bishop; Greg, our Bishop; Berto, our rector; and Hugh who is with us today that they may inspire us to be your ministers on this earth to fulfill your mission.  We put our trust in God.

We pray for these United States that those newly elected or re-elected as well as those still in office may honor one another and serve the common good.  We put our trust in God.

We pray for this precious earth, especially the bountiful sea that surrounds our beloved island that we may use its resources rightly. We put our trust in God.

We give thanks for those who do your work on this earth, especially for Chris and Scott who are leading our Stewardship Committee encouraging us to have a healthy spiritual relationship to money.  We put our trust in God.

We pray for all those who suffer in body, mind or spirit. Help them to be aware of your Holy Spirit so they may receive courage, hope, and strength in their troubles.  Together, we pray for… We put our trust in God.

We pray for all who have died, especially the Kristallnacht martyrs on this 76^th anniversary of that terrible night, <silence> and for those who mourn that your will for them may be fulfilled.  We put our trust in God.

Presider: Let us keep awake and be wise rather than foolish, so that we may truly serve you in sincerity and faithfulness. Amen.
