Lector: Dear Lord, Mother, Father, Creator of All, We come to you in prayer to ask your blessings for the peacemakers of the world, in a time of terrorism. For those nations joining in solidarity together against threats.
We pray for your power and guidance for our President, Barack, and world leaders in their decisions toward peace. We ask for your wisdom to be their inspiration, in the name of Jesus.
We ask your blessings and wisdom for our church, Emmanuel, our Rector Berto, our Bishop Greg, our Presiding Bishop Michael, and Archbishop Justin; and for your churches, of many names, in many places, who call on you with boldness, as the light in the darkness of fear. Bless those who pray faithfully, thankfully and joyfully in your Holy name.
We thank you Lord for the love you wrap around us, for our abundant blessings and the gift of your son, Jesus Christ.
We pray for those who give their life in service to others, from Pope Francis in his travels, to those whose names we do not know, who bring food and compassion to innocent victims in Nigeria and South Sudan. We pray for all who are sick, su?ering, hungry, fearful and in need of comfort and hope. Lead us each to your will, to be done in service to others, with generosity of spirit.
We ask for blessings and comfort for those on our parish prayer list:
Presider: Dear God, we live surrounded by the splendor of your creation. Bring us to action in protecting and celebrating the rich abundance of this earth, sky and water. We each share in the joy of life you bring, in the name of Jesus Christ. With gratitude for this day, we praise you. Hallelujah. Amen.
