As we are called by the example of Jesus the Christ, let us pray for mercy, grace, and understanding. For this intentional gathering today and for the people of God in every place. Lord, have mercy.
For those who have not yet found a spiritual home. Lord, have mercy.
For rulers and regimes, and for all the peoples of the world. Lord, have mercy.
For parents who have lost their children, and for the widowed and the abandoned. Lord, have mercy.
For those in the healthcare professions, and for those who health has declined. We pray especially for those on our parish prayer list: Lord, have mercy.
For our brothers and sisters who have died. Lord, have mercy.
For ourselves, our families, and those we love. Lord, have mercy.
Lifting our voices with all creation, let us offer ourselves and one another to the living God through Christ. Lord, have mercy.
Presider: God who raised your Son from the dead, hear the prayers we offer this day and grant that we speak your word in truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
