Eternal God, we give thanks for your church and our leaders, Michael, Greg, Berto and Hugh. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. May they inspire us to be your servants.
Protect us all in your name.
Eternal God, we give thanks for these United States. Remind our leaders that their delight is in the law of the Lord. May they protect us all and let us all live in liberty without fear.
Protect us all in your name.
Eternal God, we give thanks for all the nations, peoples, languages and traditions of this earth. May we learn to see our similarities rather than our differences.
Protect us all in your name.
Eternal God, we give thanks for our precious Orcas Island and surrounding Salish Sea. Lord, you know everyone’s heart. May we learn to accept your will for our community.
Protect us all in your name.
Eternal God, we pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, unemployment mental illness or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list… and for whom no one prays. May they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.
Protect us all in your name.
Eternal God, we give thanks for those who have died. May they be greeted by angels and those that mourn be comforted by your Holy Spirit. As our church remembers Bishop Hare today who was known as the Apostle to the Sioux and Justice Thurgood Marshall tomorrow who was known in his Episcopal parish as the Judge. May we appreciate the diversity of your creation.
Protect us all in your name.
