Intercessor: Dear Lord of Unconditional Love, We pray to you in the name of your son, Jesus Christ. On this Trinity Sunday, we open our hearts to your Holy Spirit as we pray. Bless your churches of the world, hold them in your guidance, for we are all as one in your love. We are blessed with the leadership, spiritual teaching and example of Fr. Berto and Fr. Hugh, Bishop Greg and Presiding Bishop Michael.
Precious Lord, inspire, renew and guide all who serve others, with love for our common good.
In the mystery of human life, we seek the spiritual reconnection to our true belonging with you, Lord. We feel the breath of your spirit in brief moments of the day, from a smile, a hummingbird on a flower, or the sun through the clouds.
Precious Lord, bless our inclusive loving church community in our mission of service. It is our reward to give to others, according to the gifts God has given us.
In the current light of inequity and suffering, we pray for equality, safety and human rights for all people.
Precious Lord, may the winds of your Holy Spirit replace fear with healing and hope, and oppression with courage to do the right thing.
Lord, bless our earthly home, the air above, the waters below, and all creatures great and small, to whom you have given a purpose.
May the Holy Spirit breathe a fire of passion to change our destructive ways of treating the environment, from the edge of unawareness to the renewal of your earth.
We are grateful for the caring gifts the people and organizations of Orcas Island bring to our community: the food bank, sheltering, counseling, medical transportation, responsive volunteers and neighbors. May we share our abundance, wherever you show us the need.
Precious Lord, keep them in your love and safety.
We pray for those carrying burdens, pain, hunger, loneliness, depression, addiction, loss of loved ones, loss of income, or any kind of suffering, and offer our prayers silently or aloud (pause). We pray especially those we name here: and for those for whom no one prays.
Precious Lord, may they know your peace and gentleness.
We pray for the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. We remember and honor them this Memorial Day. Bless all who have died, especially Cindy Wolf’s mother, Anne Wolf, and comfort those who mourn their loss, especially Roger Wolf, and our own Cindy, Keven and Juliette.
Precious Lord, bless each soul who returns to you Lord, may they rejoice in your loving presence.
Thank you Lord, for the opportunity to slow our pace, connect with our own spirit, be in nature, listen to our church services, and feel part of your family, in all its differences. May we each be in the light of your Holy Spirit. We love you Lord.
Precious Lord, thank you for your son Jesus Christ, who brings the rivers of the living water, through the Holy Spirit. We all drink of one Spirit. Bless and keep us each, in the name of The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Let us pray for those celebrating Birthdays this week:
O God, our times are in your hand: Look with favor, we pray, on your servant, Aliza Diepenbrock (6/1) as she begins another year. Grant that she may grow in wisdom and grace, and strengthen her trust in your goodness all the days of her life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
