Empowering God, we give thanks for your church and your ministers especially our priests Berto and Hugh, our Bishop Greg and our Presiding Bishop Michael. We are grateful that they speak clearly so we can understand and believe, as the Spirit of truth is in them. We pray that we may be aware of your Spirit so we can be faithful servants.

Veni Sancte Spiritus, Come Holy Spirit. 

Empowering God, we give thanks for these United States and our leaders. We pray that they listen to one another and to the majority of the people to lead us justly.

Ven Espíritu Santo, Come Holy Spirit.

Empowering God, we give thanks for your glorious creation of this planet earth. We pray for all inhabitants and ask that they may live safely without experiencing violence inflicted by their fellow humans such as crime, murder and war, and natural calamities such as earthquakes and tsunamis as well as fire and flood. We pray that those who are experiencing calamities and violence be comforted by your Spirit.

Viens Saint-Esprit, Come Holy Spirit. 

Empowering God, we give thanks for Orcas Island as summer approaches with its coming bounty of food and visitors. We pray for a good growing season, safety from fires and smoke, hospitality from islanders and seasonal staff as well as patience by islanders and visitors alike.

Tule Pyhä Henki, Come Holy Spirit. 
Empowering God, we give thanks for this life including its challenges. We pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, unemployment, mental illness or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list…  and those for whom no one prays; may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.

Venha Espírito Santo, Come Holy Spirit. 

Empowering God, we give thanks for your faithful servant Archbishop Boniface of Mainz, Germany who was murdered on this date in 754. We pray for those near death, those who provide comfort as they stand watch, those that have died and those that mourn.
