Do the impossible in us, again and again, O God.
Empty us of the fears we grasp so tightly. Fill us instead with trust
in your goodness. Do the impossible through us.
Walk in Love:
As Christ loved us.
When we quiet ourselves and take in the beauty of creation and
the wonders around us, we are awed at what you can do. We fill
the air with song and praise as we come before you.
Walk in Love:
As Christ loved us.
This world is broken, aching, and often empty of joy. Fill the
lonely spaces with people who care. Fill the hungry places with
enough to satisfy all. Fill those who have plenty with the
commitment to share with those who are in need. Fill those who
are world-weary with your peace.
Walk in Love:
As Christ loved us.
We hold before you those who are ill, facing surgery or recovering
from it; those who are overwhelmed with sadness and the cares
of this world; those who are anxious about what lies ahead and
stuck in regretting the past. We ask you to shower all these people
for whom we pray with your healing balm (say names together slowly):
and those for whom no one prays.
Walk in Love:
As Christ loved us.
We pray for those who have died, that your will for them has been
fulfilled, and they are now full of joy in your kingdom. We pray
also for those they have left behind who love them. When their
hearts are full of sorrow and the long days of grief seem endless,
fill them with your presence and assurance of unending life in
your presence.
Walk in Love:
As Christ loved us.
