For all who have been raised up with Christ in baptism, especially Juliette Marie Wolf McKenney and Megan Heisinger, that they may find joy in God’s wondrous  love,

Let us pray to the Lord.

For the leaders of our Christian community, and especially for our search committee as they exercise their powers of discernment, that they may find joy in the guidance of your loving spirit,

Let us pray to the Lord.

For all persons of every faith and background who are gathered here this day, that we may find joy in nourishing each other’s spirits,

Let us pray to the Lord.

For  people around the world who are persecuted because of their faith, that they may attain joy in overcoming their troubles.

Let us pray to the Lord.

For the President of the United States, the Governor of Washington, and all who serve in public office, that they may rejoice in God’s call for justice and peace,

Let us pray to the Lord.

For all who suffer in body, mind, or spirit, especially for those on our parish prayer list,  that they may find joy in God’s deliverance from their afflictions,

Let us pray to the Lord.

For those who have died or disappeared, may they rejoice in God’s gift of eternal life,

Let us pray to the Lord.

Celebrant: Answer our prayers for the sake of your beloved Son, who  endured the torment of the Cross but now reigns as the King of glory, now and forever.  Amen.
