Dear God, We pray to you with the sweet innocence of a newborn baby, wholly open to receive your love. Let Jesus be our guide.
We shed our fears and uncertainties in the light of Your love.
Thank you Lord for this church, Emmanuel, for our Rector Berto, and for those who give their abundant talents to keep our church home thriving, welcoming and beautiful, so that all may come to you in many ways, asking for your peace and compassion.
We pray for your blessings across the earth, for your churches, your priests, and all those who seek and pray for your guidance and healing.
We pray to bring the world to your peace: to silence the weapons, end the destruction, release the captives, return families to each other and to their homes.
We pray Lord, to open the hearts of world leaders, that they may know your will and wisdom in making difficult decisions toward peace in all nations, and for the good in all of your creation on earth.
We pray especially for those in hunger, homelessness, fear, danger and loneliness, that they may come into your shelter and abundant love.
We pray for those who tenderly care for others, as taught by Jesus Christ, feeding and rescuing people and animals with love and patience.
We pray for the special needs of this community, those we carry in our hearts, and for each of our own unspoken needs, especially those on our church prayer list.
Dear Lord, we praise you with gratitude for your constant renewal, healing and blessings. Give us strength and peace to be the person you intend us to be. Open our hearts to the Holy Spirit.
We hold up those who have died, that your heavenly joy is with them, and your peace is with us, who miss them.
Thank you Lord, for the blessings of love you bring to each of our lives, in the exceptional ways you have chosen for each of us.
Presider: Dear Mother, Father God, We celebrate the joy of your abundant miracles in our daily lives. We are in awe of the gift of your son, Jesus Christ, as our savior and teacher. Lead us to follow His lessons, in the simple truth of loving and sharing, that we may know your peace as we begin this new year. Hallelujah. Amen
