Dear God, maker of Heaven and Earth, and everything in it.

We come to you in prayer, each in our own way, with hearts open to your love. We are grateful for this beautiful house of worship, Emmanuel, on this rock by your waters of the Salish Sea.

Dear God, maker of Heaven and Earth, and everything in it.

We come to you in prayer, each in our own way, with hearts open to your love. We are grateful for this beautiful house of worship, Emmanuel, on this rock by your waters of the Salish Sea.

Lord, we are grateful for our abundant blessings, our Orcas Island community, and strengthened by sharing the peace of your Love.

Lord, as we read the lessons of the Bible, we pray for the voices of your churches around the world, may they bring your peace to our world in need. We put our trust in you, through Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Lord, we pray that your will is spoken and those who hear will be inspired to serve others in these times of trial.

Bless our priests Fr. Berto, and Fr. Hugh, our Bishop Gregory, our Presiding Bishop Michael, our Vestry, and the many hearts and hands who serve your through Emmanuel. We pray for Fr. Berto and  Fr. Hugh as they travel to Puerto Rico, and for the people of Puerto Rico in their tragic earthquake loss and damage.

We hold them in our hearts. May they may be nourished and guided by your Love and Grace.

Lord, we are grateful for the earth, air, sea, animals, plants and the world you have created. We are gravely concerned about the climate changing effects on our world.

We pray for Australia. Lead us to urgent action as stewards for the health and balance of the earth.

We pray for your powerful peace in this time of uncertainty, fear and grave concerns. The daily news is challenging for us to fathom what we can do. We pray for the people who suffer and struggle, both here, at our borders, and in nations under siege and civil war.
Lord, we are created equally in your sight. We pray for the homeless, hungry, sick, and those living in danger. You are our the answer we are hungry for.

We ask your peace and healing for the needs of each of us, those known to you, and those we name here:

Lord, you are the healer of our hearts, wounds and loneliness. Hear our prayer.

We pray for the United States, the elected leaders and decision makers, and all world leaders, that they may find their own peace, to do the right thing, and know your will for others

Lord, may you guide their hearts and minds and choices, that Human Rights be observed in every land, with freedom from discrimination and persecution.

We pray for those who have passed from our sight, may they be joyful in your kingdom in the company of angels and archangels.

We celebrate their place with you Lord.

Presider:
Lord, who gives life, breath and spirit, We are grateful for each person here today, in this community of our Holy time together. Lead us in service with our minds, hearts and actions, and bring us the joy of following our Savior and teacher, Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray.
