O God, defender of my cause, we put our trust in you as we give thanks for our precious Orcas Island and the surrounding Salish Sea. We ask that you be with our vestry next weekend as they seek what you are calling Emmanuel to do so we may better serve our neighbors.

O God, have mercy on us and hear our prayer.

O God, defender of my cause, we put our trust in you as we pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, unemployment mental illness or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list…; may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit and learn to accept your will.

O God, have mercy on us and hear our prayer.

O God, defender of my cause, we put our trust in you as we give thanks for those who have died who in their lives provide a little more kindness and love in this temporal world thereby serving as an example for us. We ask that they be welcomed by angels and those that mourn their death be comforted by your Holy Spirit.

O God, have mercy on us and hear our prayer.
