Eternal God, we give thanks for our beloved Orcas Island and the surrounding Salish Sea. We give thanks for the ferry workers who continue their jobs enabling us to stay connected to our doctors, family, friends, and neighbors on the mainland.

Eternal God, we give thanks for our Stewardship chairs Lynn and Tony as well as our co-treasurers Bill and Margie. We pray that we may respond with generosity so Emmanuel may continue our ministries to parishioners and this island community.

Eternal God, we pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, unemployment, mental illness or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list… those for whom no one prays. May they be comforted by your Holy Spirit. We give thanks for caregivers, social workers, and health care providers who minister to their needs.

Eternal God, on this All Hollow’s Eve as we prepare to celebrate All Saints tomorrow, we give thanks for having such a great cloud of witnesses and may they inspire us during our earthly pilgrimage.
