Eternal God, as we celebrate the birth of your son, our Savior Jesus Christ, we give thanks for your church and its leaders Michael, Greg, Berto and Hugh.

Hallelujah! How good it is to sing praises to our God! In the power of the Holy Spirit, make us your advocate.
Eternal God, on this second day of Christmas, we give thanks for these United States and ask that your grace fall upon our leaders so they may guide this nation safely and securely.

Eternal God, as the secular world pauses before beginning another year at the end of this week, we pray for all that are in harm’s way from accident, conflict, disaster or war.

Eternal God, during these dark, cold days of winter, we pray that everyone on Orcas has a warm place to sleep and give thanks for those that strive to make that possible.

Hallelujah! How good it is to sing praises to our God! In the power of the Holy Spirit, make us your advocate.

Eternal God, we pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, unemployment mental illness or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list… those for whom no one prays; may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.

Hallelujah! How good it is to sing praises to our God! In the power of the Holy Spirit, make us your advocate.

Eternal God, we ask your mercy on those near death, those who stand watch, those who have died and those that mourn. May their faith provide comfort and reward.  We give you thanks, O Lord of glory, for the example of the first martyr, Stephen, who looked up to heaven and prayed for his persecutors to your Son Jesus Christ.

Hallelujah! How good it is to sing praises to our God! In the power of the Holy Spirit, make us your advocate.
