Lord, on this glorious day when we commemorate your resurrection, we give thanks for your church and our church leaders, Michael, Greg, Berto and Hugh. May they be as strong a witness as Mary Magdalene so we may weep no more and be faithful servants.

Lord, we give thanks for these United States and our national, state, and local leaders. May they rule justly while keeping us safe and free.

Lord, we give thanks for the beautiful earth and the diversity of its people and life forms. We pray for peace in the Ukraine, Myanmar, Yemen as well as others and ask that your Holy Spirit comfort those in harm’s way.

Lord, we give thanks for Orcas Island and the surrounding Salish Sea. May Earth Day, this coming Friday, remind us to have 8the strength and wisdom to make wise choices to preserve its beauty for future generations.

Lord, we pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, unemployment, mental illness or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list… andthose for whom no one prays; may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.

Lord, we give thanks for the lives of our ancestors, for as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ. We pray for those who are near death, those who stand vigil, those who have recently died and those that mourn, may they be comforted in their belief in resurrection.
