Eternal God, we  give you thanks for your church and especially our beloved Emmanuel. We pray that our leaders, Michael, Melissa, Berto and Hugh faithfully guide us to believe the morning star rises in our hearts, so we are moved by the Holy Spirit to serve you.

Eternal God, we give thanks for the beauty of the earth and every person on this planet. We pray for peace throughout the world and wisdom to cool our warming planet.

Eternal God, we give thanks for those that offered to serve this community as a fire commissioner and port commissioner. We congratulate the winners and pray that they may listen to the concerns of our island community.

Eternal God, we give thanks for the generosity of this congregation. We pray that on this first Sunday of August, we remember the Rector’s Discretionary Fund.

Eternal God, we give thanks for the lives of every human being. We pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, unemployment, mental illness or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list… and those for whom no one prays; may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.

Eternal God, we give thanks for the lives of those that have died as well as those that stand watch and give care. We pray that the newly departed be welcomed by angels, and those that mourn are comforted by your Holy Spirit.
