Beloved Mystery, great Sacred Cloud of Unknowing—As we climb the holy mountain, whether we are at its foot, or somewhere higher, we sing your praises. We thank you, we bless you, we glorify you. You are everywhere, in all this creation, and at the same time you hide in a cloud, majestic and elusive. We bruise ourselves, falling on rocks as we try to find you, forgetting for the moment that you are with us at every turn. Help us to be aware and present with the sacred understanding of your omniscient grace. We pray for spiritual leaders everywhere, and we bless and praise them in their good works, especially our priests, Berto and Hugh, our Provisional Bishop Melissa, and our Presiding Bishop, Michael. We thank them for their tireless work in serving you and the world with compassion and inclusion. We pray they be healthy in body and spirit as they guide us on rocky paths through cloud-shrouded mountains.

Reveal the glory and presence of your Spirit alive in the world today.

We pray for political leaders on every level—especially our County Commissioners, our Governor Jay, and our President Joe, and Vice President Kamala, as they work to serve the great needs of this nation, our planet, and its people.

Reveal the glory and presence of your Spirit alive in the world today.

The cries of those afflicted by war, immigration issues, poverty and disease, climate change, ignorance, and misinformation rend our hearts.  Help us to find better ways to help them.

Reveal the glory and presence of your Spirit alive in the world today.

Many in our own community struggle to support themselves, to find housing, to live balanced lives.  Bless them all with wisdom and strength, and let all those in the helping professions be encouraged and supportive. Bless educators and their students with lively curiosity and growing discernment.

Reveal the glory and presence of your Spirit alive in the world today.

Beloved Mystery, we join one another in asking for healing for those with special needs known only to us (pause…to mention silently or aloud) and for those on our Parish Prayer List, including: … May all, including those for whom no one prays, know the peace and love that is their eternal birthright.

Reveal the glory and presence of your Spirit alive in the world today.

And we pray for those who have died and their grieving families and friends…….Soothe their broken hearts with healing grace.

Amen.
