As those called to take up the cross and follow Christ, let us offer our prayers for all of God’s people that they may come to know the fullness of God’s promises. For the church, and especially for Michael, our Presiding Bishop, Melissa our Provisional Bishop, and our priests, Berto and Hugh, that in our Lenten journey we may make more room in our lives for God and bring forth a new springtime of faith.

Lord, have mercy.

For this parish family, that we may always be open to God’s voice and never let the blare of busyness, ambition, nor materialism drown out the voice of God’s call for service to others.

Lord have mercy.

For all the children of Abraham, that through our witness to the One True God, we may be signs of God’s mercy and justice in our world.

Lord have mercy.

For peace and justice to prevail in all places of war and conflict and especially for those who struggle to survive in the midst of atrocities of war, that they may find signs of compassion, hope and love.

Lord have mercy.

For all who are in need of our prayers, remember those on our parish prayer list: … and for those for whom no one prays; may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.

Lifting our voices with all creation, with Mary the God-bearer, and all the saints, let us offer ourselves and one another to the living God through Christ.

To you, O Lord our God.
