Loving God, we give thanks for Your church and all ministers. As we contemplate these famous scriptures we heard today, help us to remember that Easter will follow so rather than weeping bitterly, we may be your faithful servants.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endures forever.
Loving God, we give thanks for the United States of America and all in authority. We pray for our leaders to govern with wisdom and for those who are afraid.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endures forever.
Loving God, we give thanks for every tribe, language, people and nation on this precious earth. We pray for peace through all lands and comfort for those in harms way from conflict and natural disasters.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endures forever.
Loving God, we give thanks for our beloved Orcas Island and the surrounding Salish Sea. We pray for first responders, teachers, island business owners as well as their workers, and ferry workers that make life here possible.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endures forever.
Loving God, we give thanks our families, friends, fellow islanders, visitors and for every human being. We pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, from addiction, unemployment, mental illness or homelessness, to anyone who cries: Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am in trouble, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, [pause] and especially for those on our parish prayer list… as well as those for whom no one prays; may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endures forever.
Loving God, we give thanks for the lives of those that have recently died that we still hold in our hearts. As angels welcome them, may You comfort those that mourn.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endures forever.
Let us pray for those celebrating Birthdays this week.
O God, our times are in your hand: Look with favor, we pray, on your servants, as they begin another year. Grant that they may grow in wisdom and grace, and strengthen their trust in your goodness all the days of their lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Let us pray for those celebrating anniversaries this week.
Grant, O God, in your compassion, that those who have taken each other in marriage, may grow in forgiveness, loyalty, and love; and come at last to the eternal joys which you have promised through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
