Eternal God, we give thanks for your Universal Church and all its members. We are particularly grateful for our leaders: Michael, Melissa, Berto and Hugh. We ask that they inspire us to know that whoever serves You must follow You, and where You are, there will your servant be also.

Take not your Holy Spirit from us so we may serve You.

Eternal God, we give thanks for these United States and all its leaders both nationally in Washington, DC and locally especially the Orcas Island Fire Commissioners and those that support them.

Take not your Holy Spirit from us so we may serve You.

Eternal God, we give thanks for this precious earth and ask that You remind us to care for the welfare of the planet and all its peoples. Help us to remember that You are the source of all creation and that everyone deserves a peaceful and secure existence.

Take not your Holy Spirit from us so we may serve You.

Eternal God, we give thanks for this parish community and all its members. We give particular thanks today for the presence of Linda Bryant and Lawrence Jackson in our parish over the years and their contributions of works, wealth, and wisdom. We wish them a smooth transition to their new home and pray that they know that they will always be welcome in our midst.

Take not your Holy Spirit from us so we may serve You.

Eternal God, we pray for all who suffer in body, mind, or spirit, from addiction, unemployment, mental illness, or homelessness, particularly those we now name either silently or aloud, (pause) and especially for those on our parish prayer list… and those for whom no one prays; may they be comforted by your Holy Spirit.

Take not your Holy Spirit from us so we may serve You.

Eternal God, we give thanks for the lives of the departed not only the recently deceased but also  our deceased ancestors, companions, and friends. We ask that You soothe those near death, strengthen those that stand watch or provide care and comfort those that mourn.

Take not your Holy Spirit from us so we may serve You.

Eternal God, we give thanks for Saint Patrick, Missionary and Bishop of Ireland. We ask that You remind us that this is not just a day of revelry, but a day to cease wandering in darkness and error to walk in the true light and knowledge of You.

Take not your Holy Spirit from us so we may serve You.
