We Pray for the World and the Church
Please stand, as able, when the Intercessor invites us to pray for the world and the church.
Intercessor: Spirit of Love, we seek the still waters and green pastures that are here for us, if we but only open our hearts and eyes.
May we follow where Love leads.
Spirit of love, much of the world is in darkness now, yet light shines also in so many places and hearts. May our love burn brightly and boldly each day to heal our hurting world.
May we follow where Love leads.
Spirit of love, we are thankful for the Episcopal Church and the Anglican communion, especially for its leaders, Archbishop Mullaly and Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe, who speak out and act boldly, and we are thankful for Pope Leo XIV, for his spirit and strength in speaking truth to power.
May we follow where Love leads.
Spirit of Love, we are awed by the physical world we live in, for the many forms of life all around us. May we do our best to be good caretakers of it.
May we follow where Love leads.
Spirit of Love,, we hold in our hearts our loved ones who are suffering from grave illnesses. May they be touched by the Spirit of peace and sense the love that we have for them.
May we follow where Love leads.

Let us pray for those celebrating birthdays this week.
O God, our times are in your hand: Look with favor, we pray, on your servants Dave Kirkpatrick (4/27) and Steve Jung (5/2)as they begin another year. Grant that they may grow in wisdom and grace, and strengthen their trust in your goodness all the days of their life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
